Cateno De Luca hospitalized in Messina after falling ill during a rally
Acting Mayor Cateno De Luca Hospitalized
Cateno De Luca, the leader of South Italy’s calls to the North, was admitted to the Policlinico di Messina yesterday evening following a bout of ill health after a political rally.
Health Incident After a Series of Meetings
Yesterday, De Luca was busy holding meetings in various municipalities along the Ionian riviera of Messina, presenting his political project for Libertà for the European elections. The health incident occurred at the end of the last rally in Itala. Prior to this, De Luca had been to Sant’Alessio, Furci, Roccalumera, and Nizza.
Recovery and Future Schedule
These were meetings that the acting Mayor of Taormina strongly insisted on conducting, despite being very feverish from the morning. De Luca’s team said, “He is well, but out of precaution, he was admitted for some medical examinations. His doctors have prescribed rest, so all events scheduled for today have been postponed.” It is predicted that De Luca will resume his public duties as soon as possible.
